It doesn't cost you anything to check for pre-qualified offers using Acorn Finance, however, some lenders on the platform will charge an origination fee. This fee is only charged once and is essentially to help the lender pay for the cost of issuing the loan.

With our application process, you will clearly see which offers have an origination fee and which do not. You will also have the option to include the fee in the amount you wish to borrow so that you get the entire amount rolled up into the loan proceeds. 

This fee is generally removed from the funds you receive, so if you take out a $10,000 loan with a 4% origination fee, you would receive $9,600 from the lender. Lenders on our platform like SoFi and LightStream do not charge an origination fee.
